When your best friend moves away, how do you find where you fit in?
Cove has grown up on Martha’s Vineyard. And she’s never been off-island. They have everything they need right where they are, at least according to her mother.
But then Cove’s best friend Nina moves away and Cove is stuck.
Stuck without a best friend. Stuck on the island. Stuck with the girls who whisper in the hallways and wear matching shirts. Stuck with all the bad things inside her.
But friends can appear in the unlikeliest places—and so can ideas. In a secondhand store, or a senior center, or even the row behind you in the auditorium.
Maybe—just maybe—Cove will find the idea and the friends to get herself unstuck.
